Pick Your Poison

I woke up this morning at 3:00 am. Normally, I can roll over and go back to sleep, but this morning I was fully awake. There’s something about starting your day before the day even get’s started good that’s magical. Wouldn’t want to do this every morning, but normally when it happens, God is up to something. He knows He needs to catch me super early before I start thinking and planning my day. The early hours contain the best revelation.

poisonThanks to a really big God, Letting Go and my fabulous family in AA, I don’t have to carry resentment and anger anymore. People and their actions just don’t bother me long term. Don’t take things personally. It’s not about you, it’s about them. Thinking that I don’t allow people’s actions, or lack thereof to effect me is like drinking poison slowly. Everything affects me, but it’s what I choose to do with it that matter most.

I notice every little thing in my life and hope you do yours. This is called living in the present moment. When you wash dishes, do you watch the actual washing process? Sometimes I clean the kitchen just to git er dun, but other times I enjoy watching what I’m doing. Paying attention to the moment and every little action to make the process successful.

Are you noticing a repetitive word here? ‘Action.’ I don’t know about you, but I’ve not seen success without action. If I’m driving my truck and it beeps that it needs gas, then I keep an eye out for gas stations. If the truck doesn’t receive fuel by my actions, it will stop working. A lot of things stop working without action.

How’s your love life? Has it stopped working? Well then girl and guy, you better strip down and stand naked in front of your lover until something happens. When we produce an action toward something or someone it causes an effect. The same is true in opposite formation. When we stop or slow down our actions toward something or someone, it tends to stop, or die. What we feed will grow! What we starve will die. It’s your choice. Make it a good one.
