Present Moment, Quality of life

What’s Your Reason

Returning home from being gone overnight, I noticed the cat didn’t act very hungry. I didn’t see the chicken and wondered if the cat made breakfast. Once inside, I glanced out the window and spotted the chicken. It’s a good day.

There is a reason for everything, or everything happens for a reason. I’m sure you have heard these before. I question today if there has to be a reason. God wants us to give and give freely from our hearts. He doesn’t specify a reason.

My ex husband had an addiction to things. He lost his job and we got to see how deep in debt we were over things.  God still took care of us but it changed and our marriage. We are divorced for a lot of reasons and over those things.

I dated a guy once who wanted to give me money. I am sure he had valid reasons like wanting to help care for me. He gave all his previous girlfriends money too. There is a reason we are all in the past. Actions speak louder than words.

There are a lot of girls walking around pregnant in my small town. It breaks my heart to know there are going to be kids raising kids. They might get married and go through it for this reason. I think I would have bought a condom.

Today I have people in my life who love me for no reason. My daughter turns 16 next month and she will buy herself a car when needed. Right now she drives my truck and I will hand her my list on her way out the door. I will write.

I pray that you have people in your life that adore you for no particular reason. Just because they want to be near and enjoy you. My man has told me many times, “I just want to enjoy you.” Today I let him and for no particular reason.
