Feel the Music

I was off center this past weekend.

No one emotion dominated, but I just wasn’t myself. Music helps so I turned the Bluetooth on in my laptop and stereo and pulled up YouTube.

YouTube knows what I like and I wasn’t surprised to see most of it listed was country. I began my Saturday with a playlist of Kenny Chesney.

My parents have long since passed but I have fond memories. They did the best they could, but the best thing they gave me was a solid foundation to grow upon. They raised me to be strong, but kind.

My Ford F-150 is ten years old.

Before my truck, I drove Mercedes.

My daughter asked, “What’s your next vehicle going to be when Steve, (my truck) retires? Will you go back to a Benz?”

I just laughed and told her my little old lady car would be a Jag, but there will always be a truck sitting in my driveway. It’s who I am.

I was raised on country.
