Serve Up Happiness

My daughter left the house this morning to meet some friends for coffee. I drove down to the local coffee shop to see my friend who’s the owner.

I knew this would make me happy.

My friend wasn’t feeling happy, so we talked for a bit and I tried to listen more than talk. I hope she knows what an intricate part she plays in people’s happiness. She pours her heart and soul into the community with coffee and delectable food.

I went there for a cold brew, but then she pointed to chocolate. She had made gluten free, chocolate chip muffins. I came home with both.

To complete my happiness journey, I took the muffin out of the paper bag and placed it on one of my favorite plates. Rinsed out the cup I’ve been using and filled it with the cold brew.

A picture of happiness, right?

To my darling friend who stands behind the counter of that coffee shop. Cheers my lady! You may not be certain of why you’re there, but I along with many others are happy you are.

Continue to serve up happiness.

  1. Serving up happiness … makes me think of all the wonderful people we come across who bring us our food and our beverages with a smile, and make the time we spend there so much more enjoyable just by being friendly and kind. Cheers to them all!
