Believe in Yourself

I’m happy for the New Year, but then it was pointed out, it’s a also new decade. I’ve been on this earth for five decades and heading toward six!

A fellow Blogger left a comment that he had already missed an opportunity this year. It’s an event that occurs every New Years day where he lives, and he didn’t participate.

There are no missed opportunities.

People are under the misconception at this age, life is coming to a close. They say, “Start planning for retirement.”, but what am I retiring from? Life? I have no plans for retirement. I plan on encouraging people until my last step home.

Someone may have told you, “You’re too old.” That’s not true. That’s their perspective and it doesn’t define you. A lot of people don’t want to have a successful life and they don’t want you to have one either. As long as you have breath in your body, you have a purpose.

There are no missed opportunities.

If it’s truly meant for you, it’ll come back around. I’ve seen it take 10 to 20 years to come full circle, and at this age, I’m ready.

First, you just have to believe in yourself.

  1. As I said the other day to a young woman of my acquaintance who had just had her 30th birthday – “You don’t live your life by a calender”. I was going to write about the concept but since you already have I guess I will have to find something else to write about LOL
