I knew what I wanted, but wasn’t sure how to get it. Mama would say, “You won’t know until you ask.” I began calling and asking.
I could see it as clear as day.
A Bougainvillea hanging in front of the kitchen window. I spend a good bit of time at that window and wanted something pretty to look at. That window could be a moment of refreshment.
After three phone calls to local nurseries, I found one who had them. They were not cheap, so I only bought one to make sure I didn’t kill it. I have this way of giving plants too much attention.
This is my view from that window.
The leaves from the giant oak are falling, and it’s raining pollen today, but let’s shift our gaze up. Look straight at the beauty.
Big Red is within view, as we patiently await to hit the lake. (Counting the days)
This is how I live my life. There are no impossibilities, and the options are endless. A man I work with emailed this quote to the team today.
Imagine that you have no limitations, then decide what’s right, before you decide what’s possible. ~Brian Tracy.
Quite lovely are the flowers. I’ve been a practitioner of Brian Tracy’s methodology in achieving goals for many years. Blessings, Barb

A beautiful plant. Will this be in bloom just for the summer, or will you see it all year round?

It’s been one of my favorites for years. I’m happy you like it. It will bloom, I hope, until it’s gets cold again.
It has an interesting quality you can’t really see in the photograph. The buds are deep orange, and when the bloom first opens it’s an orange bloom. As the days go by, it deepens in color until it turns pink. 🙂
