Wear the Boots

What we think of ourselves is how we perceive ourselves. If you feel you have no control over their life, take another look. You have more control than you think.

started

I wore my cowboy boots today.

It’s been at least a year since wearing them. I became comfortable in other shoes. Take a look at what you’re wearing from head to toe. It even matters what you’re wearing underneath the clothes.

How do you feel?

How you feel is how you represent.

I used to wear this pair of Luchesse’s so often, I had to have them serviced every year. You don’t throw these away. You have them rebuilt.

I held many excuses not to slide these boots on again. All of my boot-cut jeans were worn out. I didn’t have the right socks. They are dusty and need a good polishing. At least they didn’t need servicing, but it was from lack of wear.

Found jeans on sale and bought them. Told my daughter I needed socks and she gave me my favorite socks for Christmas.

Starting today my darling, I will wear the boots.

Believe in Yourself

I’m happy for the New Year, but then it was pointed out, it’s a also new decade. I’ve been on this earth for five decades and heading toward six!

A fellow Blogger left a comment that he had already missed an opportunity this year. It’s an event that occurs every New Years day where he lives, and he didn’t participate.

There are no missed opportunities.

believe

People are under the misconception at this age, life is coming to a close. They say, “Start planning for retirement.”, but what am I retiring from? Life? I have no plans for retirement. I plan on encouraging people until my last step home.

Someone may have told you, “You’re too old.” That’s not true. That’s their perspective and it doesn’t define you. A lot of people don’t want to have a successful life and they don’t want you to have one either. As long as you have breath in your body, you have a purpose.

There are no missed opportunities.

If it’s truly meant for you, it’ll come back around. I’ve seen it take 10 to 20 years to come full circle, and at this age, I’m ready.

First, you just have to believe in yourself.

Honoring My Story

Saying ‘thank you‘ to that woman in the mirror for showing up. Seeing the words, ‘Well-being Wednesday’ and relating completely. Owning my worth and no longer giving it away.

Honor your story my darling, but keep adding to it. The story will evolve along with you.
