Let Me Settle

I cleaned off my desktop, and have only downloaded one new meme. I’m just enjoying the look of it, nice and clean with it’s Windows blue background.

I don’t know who needs this today, but feel that someone does. At first sight, it covered me in peace, so I want to share.

We’re barely into April, and I feel I’ve already let many relationships go. I become more and more particular about who I share my time with. People are showing their true selves quickly. Maybe that’s why it feels I’ve let go of so many.

There is one who doesn’t change.

He’s the same yesterday and today, and He’s not going to let me settle.

It’s the Climb

Yesterday, while writing  Feel the Music, Lewis Capaldi began singing a cover of the Miley Cyrus song, The Climb. It’s one of my favorite songs and yes, I love Miley. She went through a major growth phase and being a celebrity, we got to watch.

To find our true selves, we need to peel back the layers of life we’ve accumulated. It’s a messy process, but I want to find that woman God wants me to be. She’s in there, on this journey with me.

That Sunday Feel

Sunday’s are for wearing what I want.

November calls for layers. Jeans with holes worn in them. Chenille house shoes trimmed in fur with real soles to step outside if needed. I’m pretty sure nothing I have on matches, but it feels good, like a Sunday.

Our favorite blankets folded and ready for the taking on a nearby ottoman. Soft lighting and a few more candles lit than normal. The decanter is filled with hot cocoa, alongside giant marshmallows for roasting. November looks good on you Sunday.
