Bring On the Surprises

It’s been a little over a week since my Blogging everyday began. The idea surfaced during Thanksgiving holiday. From there it hovered around the back of my mind until the idea became something I really wanted to do.

Listening to Lewis Capaldi inspired me.

When I found his version of It’s the Climb, that song fueled the idea. When we have an idea, or feel led toward an accomplishment, it’s not the end result for me. It’s when the idea turns into a solid decision and it moves you.

Show me a decision and I’ll show you a direction.

There have been surprises along the way as with any journey. It hasn’t been easy and I wanted to re-evaluate this idea after day three. I don’t wish to become a daily Blogger, so I had to kick that mindset to the curb and simply enjoy it.

Bring on the surprises.

Iron Sharpens Iron

It was years ago when I first saw one of SC Lourie’s memes and thought, ‘I want to make memes that look like that.’ They are beautiful and well loved. She designs her own paper, so there’s a lot more here than meets the eye.

I’ve mastered the art of making memes, but they don’t look like hers. It more than the paper, it’s the words poured out onto it.

I couldn’t duplicate her heart.

She was the main reason I rejoined Facebook one year ago. To support her in her FB group for the November Soul Reset.

At some point this year she asked if I would assist her on Facebook. It’s an honor to be there for her in pursuit of her dream. Our friendship has grown into trust and a mutual admiration. She sent me her End of the Year Soul Reset as a thank you.

To celebrate where we stand.

We need to hang out with souls who inspire us. We never know where the path may lead. This began as a love for memes and believing hers to be extraordinary. We’re present for one another because even the Encourager needs encouragement.

Will Find You

I read this quote and made it into a meme.

I’m grateful that I learned how to make memes. When I first began, a stranger stepped up and sent me a message that was very discouraging.

He owns several Facebook pages with lots of followers, so maybe he was trying to help the newbie? I stopped making them for a while after that.

He didn’t approve of the font I was using.

Back then, I was just learning and experimented with every type font. Each quote has a unique feel and deserves it’s own background and style.

I looked at one of his pages and every meme was on a black background with the same font.

Aesthetically pleasing.

Mine come from the heart.

They are not perfect, but it’s not so much how they look, but what they say. When I make one, I feel someone needs to hear that today. Maybe it’s you.

Joy is of the heart. Keep doing what makes your heart happy my darling and joy will find you.

Be a Stopper

I’m not very good at quitting. As soon as that thought entered my mind, another thought followed. ‘You don’t have to quit, but you can stop.’

I’m good at stopping.

In speaking with a co-worker he said something that has been rolling around my mind for a week. We don’t know each other very well, so he had no idea my love for memes. I noticed he never posted a meme on his Facebook page. It was always a photograph with a description of the event.

He said, “People being encouraged by a saying on a meme. That is the most ridiculous thing ever!”

His comment knocked me back for a moment, but I quickly realized I’ve had that thought before.

At the time, I was scheduling an encouraging meme to post automatically the next morning. A lady thanked me for starting her day with something positive, but then I wondered…’Why are you looking through your phone for encouragement?’

I’ve done it too. Whenever I needed encouragement I’d scroll through my own Facebook page. Hah!

In 2017, I taught myself how to make memes. If you google Letitgocoach, and click images, you will see some, but once I learned, I was ready to learn something else. Making memes is a nice tool to have, but they’ve lost their sparkle in my life.

Smith and I stopped seeing one another. We had a beautiful journey, but we stopped several times. The time between stops got longer until we knew our journey had come to a close. It was a sweet ending and then I saw a meme he posted on Facebook. He announced his single status in a joking way.

He used a meme and it was humorous, but I thought it ironic that the end of our relationship was summed up in a meme. I’m not hurt by it. I know it’s his way to lighten the seriousness of the situation with humor, so I’m happy he can do that.

I may not be a quitter, but I’m a good stopper.
