My most read Blog is The Seeds of Success, by Og Mandino.
It was published in 2014, and WordPress shared it on Twitter. A lady shared it to her Twitter account, and it’s been floating around ever since. It may turn people off because it’s a long read. The entire publication takes about 5 minutes, which is a lot of time by today’s standards.
I feel led to break it down, into smaller chunks, and share it with you for the New Year. We reap what we sow, so let’s sow some seeds for 2018! Here are today’s seeds.
God, I thank you for this day.
I know I have not accomplished as yet all you expect of me, and if that is your reason for bathing me in the fresh dew of another dawn, I am most grateful.
I am prepared at last, to make you proud of me.
A great start to any day. Sitting in gratitude.
I will forget yesterday, with all it’s trial and tribulations, aggravations and setbacks. The past is already a dream from which I can neither retrieve a single word nor erase any foolish deeds.
I will resolve, however, that if I have injured anyone yesterday through my thoughtlessness, I will not let this day’s sun set before I make amends, and nothing I do today will be of greater importance.
Life is short. Make amends.
I am yearning for more. I am grateful for where I am, and what I have, but my heart, and soul are telling me there is so much more in store. Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” I’m a thinker, and I ask a lot from God, but He says more than I could ask or think.
I’m reading a book by Melody Beattie, and want to share this simple meditation to help set your intention for the day. Yes, I do believe what you pray and meditate on, will eventually come to pass.
“Create the perfect day each day. In the morning, before you get out of bed, or while you’re drinking your coffee or tea, spend a moment thinking about what the perfect day would be like for you. No, we’re not in control, but we can help create enthusiasm, excitement, and passion in our lives. Projecting positive thoughts, and images can be important part of our prayers.”
“Touch for a moment on some ideas that would be meaningful for you throughout the day. What would feel good? What would make your heart happy? Then, surrender control.”
“See what life has in store. Enter fully into each experience, and emotion that comes your way. At the end of the day-whether what you projected happened or not-take time to thank God for giving you the perfect day.”

I made a promise to God that I would be still this month and watch what He’s doing in my life. Look back at what He has done and what is the direction of 2016. This promise came into play before I thought about it being December.
It’s a challenge to be still in December, but it’s worth it spending quality time with God and people. To be still is not the same as sitting still and even when I sit still, it’s difficult to just ‘be’ in that moment. My mind wants to be busy.
I am learning so much just by being still, watching and listening. My morning meditation leaped off the page at me this morning. “I AM WORKING ON YOUR BEHALF”, were the first few words I read. Then, “Bring Me all your concerns, including your dreams. Talk with Me about everything, letting the light of My presence shine on your hopes and plans. Spend time allowing My Light to infuse your dreams with life, gradually transforming them into reality.” (Jesus Calling pg. 362)
My promise to God to be still. He is showing me things every day that I will share with you here. When I’m still.
